“They cannot stop me. I will get my education, if it is in the home, school, or anyplace.”
- Malala Yousafzai
Students in Lebanon face various hurdles in their educational attainment, especially during these difficult times: an economic crisis, political instability, PTSD, and a global pandemic. Education is a fundamental human right and providing pathways to an education is at the core of EduPact. EduPact is one of the first initiatives at Impact Lebanon that is focused on guaranteeing the means of a quality education. We aim to provide free tutoring online sessions for disadvantaged children based in Lebanon to ensure that they do not miss out on their education, fail their exams, or drop out of school.
We are in the process of recruiting volunteer teachers from around the world that will dedicate their time to teaching and tutoring students in Lebanon of all ages, in different curriculums, and with different needs. Strict safeguarding measures will be put on the volunteer teachers to assure the wellbeing of all of our students.
In time, EduPact will also offer teachers in Lebanon an opportunity for extra experience by teaching the children of the Lebanese diaspora Arabic and French. We are starting small, but we have got massive goals.
EduPact has been getting a lot of traction and we have few very exciting partnerships in the pipeline.
Our sense of responsibility to the youth of Lebanon is what drives EduPact.
We aim to expand our team and welcome any feedback or suggestions. If you are interested in volunteering with us, please reach out to us on edupact@impactlebanon.org
